The lithium batteries that power your electric scooter store a considerable amount of energy and, under certain conditions —physical damage, overcharging, manufacturing defects or exposure to extreme temperatures— they can enter what is technically called thermal runaway. Once the process starts, the temperature rises in a self-sustaining way, flammable gases are released, and within minutes peaks of 600 to 800 °C can be reached. - Versatile storage (S1 and S2): the scooter is stored complete and folded inside. Designed for home, office or storage room, and allows the scooter to be safely charged inside the closed bag. The choice for those who store and charge their scooter indoors.
- Fast transport (S3 and S4): the scooter goes in unfolded, with the handlebar outside the bag. Designed to move the scooter by car, train or lift several times a day. They are quicker to load and unload, but not intended for long-term storage.
- Fixed fireproof garage (S5): vertical format, mini-garage style. The scooter goes in standing up and complete, without folding. Ideal when the scooter always lives in the same spot at home or at work.
ICe BAG S1 — The compact one for home use
The S1 is the lightest option in the storage family. Designed for compact to mid-sized folding scooters, the typical urban models for daily use. Fits in wardrobes, under tables or in tight corners where space is short. Like the rest of the range, it features full closure and a triple fireproof layer. The logical choice for anyone with a city scooter and limited space at home.
ICe BAG S2 — Versatile for larger scooters
The S2 is the bigger sister of the S1. Designed for larger folding scooters with more voluminous batteries, it keeps the same philosophy: the scooter goes in complete and folded, and can be charged inside the closed bag. The reference choice for anyone who wants to leave the scooter charging overnight or while away from home, with the peace of mind that any incident stays contained inside the bag.
ICe BAG S3 — Agile transport
The S3 changes the philosophy. Instead of wrapping the entire scooter, it leaves the handlebar outside the bag. Why? Because it is not designed for storage but for movement. The scooter goes in unfolded, and the bag acts as a fireproof and protective barrier during the journey. It is noticeably faster to put on and take off, making it ideal for users who carry their scooter to work in the car, take it on the train, or push it into the lift several times a day.
ICe BAG S4 — XL transport
Same logic as the S3, but designed for larger scooters, up to 139 cm when unfolded. The choice for powerful models with long decks or large wheels. If your scooter does not fit folded in the S2 and does not fit in the S3 either, the S4 is your transport bag.
ICe BAG S5 — Your fireproof garage at home
The S5 changes the concept entirely: it is not transported, it stays fixed in one place. It is vertical, with a top-loading opening, and lets you put the scooter in standing up and complete, without folding. It is the most comfortable and quickest option for daily use (nothing has to be folded before storing) and the largest in the range. If your scooter is your main vehicle and goes in and out every day, the S5 saves you time every single time you use it.
Materials and certification: what unites the entire range
Regardless of format, all models in the ICe BAG range share the same three-layer technical structure:
- Inner fireproof fibreglass layer. The main barrier against combustion. Withstands temperature peaks of up to 1000 °C and maintains the integrity of the bag throughout the thermal event.
- Intermediate impact-resistant synthetic fibre layer. Absorbs the mechanical energy of small internal explosions (thermal runaway is often accompanied by pressure venting) and reinforces the structure so the bag does not break from the inside.
- Outer high-resistance fireproof silicone layer. Protects the bag against abrasion, water and sunlight, and keeps it sealed against smoke. The layer that makes it durable for daily use.
